Connection support - Supernait as Pre

Hi, I'm now in the middle of an (up/re)grade process and intend to hook up my new Olive 250. Until my 72 arrives, I'll run my Supernait (SN) as a Pre but shall I use the HiCap (HC) for the SN and power my Stageline (SL) from the SN or use the pre-out on the SN and use the HC to power the SL?

Puuh, lots of abbreviations there.

When we re done with this question we'll handle the next step of the (up/re)grade!

Hi [@mention:46760295196701207]. I too am using my SN as a preamp. 250dr as amp. If it were me I'd try the HC to power the SL first. Then connect the 250 to the bi amp out on the SN. But as it's only temp I guess it doesn't matter.

What other sources do you have other than vinyl? If you use a CDP too then the HC may be better feeding the SN pre amp section. That way all sources would be benifit from the better powdered pre.

Hi,

I only use vinyl, so there are no other inputs that need to be taken in to consideration. Yes, I think I will try that as well, since the pre-part shouldn't need to share it's transformer with the power in this setup (I guess).

I'll hook it up this evening and rock!
