Well the one I bought is on current firmware and app now. It's doing what it's supposed to do given that.

I am running a quad Core right now in my office... with a QNAP and a Synology NAS drives, using an Atom for playback...

Jon, have you tried saving rips from one core on the drive of the other to see which one sounds best?
