Upgrade path

Looking for some advice. I have a UNITI running some new PMC 25.21s (previously Spendor A5's). Considering upgrading from the UNITI and wondering if best to add a power amp to the UNITI or sell the UNITI. If looking to spend around £4K what's the best path? All my cds are on NAS drive and mainly use streaming either from own network and Tidal. It's an original UNITI so using chromecast currently into UNITI for Tidal.

I would start with a decent power amp first - NAP 200 or even better NAP 250 DR.
At a later stage sell the Uniti and get a N272. Than a bit later add an XPS to it.

Get a 272 and a used non-DR 200. That'll be about £4,400.

Thanks for the suggestions. Would a 200dr and 172xs work well compared to a 200dr into the Uniti? Should the Uniti be avoided as a preamp/streamer?

You don't need a DR 200 if used with a Uniti, 172 or 272, hence the suggestion of a used 200 to save money. That frees up cash to get the best preamp possible. The Uniti is based on the Nait 5i so is really out of its depth long term if fronting a 200 or better. As a step it's fine though.

Adam, you should learn to think outside the box - everybody knows that to get a real improvement on a 200DR, you need to go straight for a 300
