Uniti Nova versus Nait XS-2 and Naim DAC

Is anybody contemplating downsizing, from a separates setup to a new Uniti Nova (once available)? I wasn't able to get on with the Uniti 2 due to a harshness in its sound characteristic which caused ear pain and subsequently found the Nait XS-2 + Naim DAC setup to be preferable. However with Uniti Nova if this is no longer an issue and with the added functions and capability, may be worth considering. What are your impressions of the Uniti Nova if you have manages to listen to a setup anywhere? How closely would its performance reach that of a Nait XS-2 + Naim DAC if you were also manage to evaluate in this way?

I think that onlt the Uniti Atom has been on demonstration on a couple of occasions. We must be patient when it comes to the Uniti Nova I'm afraid ...

If you want the added functionality of a streamer then maybe the Nova should be on your shortlist, especially if you want just one box. For similar money, I suspect keeping the NDAC and replacing the XS with a Supernait would give you better sound quality.

I would suggest what you have will be better, but only waiting until it is released in Julember will answer your question .
