ndac update crash

Posted by: oferr on 12 February 2017

Hello everybody,

I have posted about this issue lately with not much response.

I have tried to update my ndac for the first time with a sandisk memory stick.  After doing so as instructed, all dac lights went on and stayed on freezed.   Rebooting by pressing 1 and 3 or 1 and 4 as instructed did not change the "all lights freezed on status".   I was recommended to fix the problem with my retailer intervention.    Has this happend to anyone of you?   Please do let me know if you succeeded to overcome this anyhow.

Thank you very much!!!

What size memory stick? Did it play the test file ok as per installation instructions?

The problem is not the memory stick.  My problem now is that when i turn on the ndac, all i see is all lights freezed on.

Oferr,

have you tried the forced update procedure?

forced update procedure :
by pressing the *dock* and *button 4* simultaneously on power up. When doing this all buttons should blink 4-5 times just after power up. When the buttons have stopped blinking and are ON the unit is ready for updating i.e. this is when you insert the USB stick with the update files.

Otherwise, it sounds like the fw update went wrong and will most likely need to be fixed by your dealer - did you ensure the stick worked OK first by playing the test file?

Hi Richard,

Thank you very much.  I guess I will let my dealer to take care of it.

Hi Oferr; Have you had any response yet from dealer and/or Salisbury? I am just curious to understand issue and remediation.
