Tidal login pop up on Naim app

Posted by: Richard Choong on 18 February 2017

Everyone,

after the trial period on a Tidal, I decided not to continue with the subscription. Based on what I gather from theTidal website, once that happens my account become inactive. However, I am still get this irritating login pop up screen every time I access my Naim app.  I have to close the pop up before the app allows me to use the app! It only happens on my iPad and not my iphone. Anyone has a similar experience? How do I get rid of it?

Hi Richard.

Try going to the Naim app homepage. Enter settings. Input settings. Tidal. Disable input.

You can't log in if you don't have a premium account and to get a premium account you need to pay the subscription and I don't want to pay the subscription.

If you had the Naim free trial, you must have logged in or it wouldn't have worked.

Chris, I did. But once the trial was over, that's when this problem occured.

Do you still receive the weekly e-mail from Tidal? I do, but don't get anything else on my iPad.  That said, I think I might reinstate my account. There's a lot of music I'd like to listen to without having to buy and which isn't available on YouTube.

I prefer Spotify.

Ok. I deleted my app and reinstalled the app from the App Store. Problem went away. The app probably just failed to talk to Tidal to determined that I terminated my account. This seems to be a constant issue with the Naim app. It tends to refresh itself.
