Old/new unitiqute multiroom

I have a UQ2 and System Audio Aura 1's in my living room that I just love, and decided upgrade my desktop audio a bit as well, settling on the Arcam Musos.  If my office was any bigger I'd have gone for another set of SA Aura 1s, but the Musos are just that bit easier on desk space.  My plan is to pick up another UQ to drive the desktop system, which will be fed initially from the iMac's optical out.  (The DAC-V1/NAP100 is just beyond what I want to pay, and I want a single box.)  Separately to this, a Muso Qb is on the cards for the kitchen at some stage.

Can the UQ1 receive/send multiroom from/to the UQ2, and if so, does it need the 192kHz board to be present?  I would like occasionally if listening while working to be able to carry on the stream over a coffee break in the living room.

You have to designate one of your streamers as a 'multiroom server' and that one must be 24/192. Others are 'client streamers' and they do not have to be 24/192, although the earliest models are not multiroom compatible at all. Download the multiroom supplement from the Naim website for full details.

ChrisSU is right that the 24/96 board can be a multi room client but not server. My UQv1 is pretty early I believe and works to receive multiroom from a SU, so it would be worth asking Naim Support for a definitive answer to learn how you can tell or if you should worry. Latest firmware even on the 2D boards gives multi room receive on all as far as I was aware, but as ChrisSU has raised it, I'd follow up while you seek one out to buy.
