hello,
can someone help me and tell me how to put photos on albums downloaded on the naim unitserve. i have downloaded the desktop client but no album appear. ? have i miss a step? thanks in advance
Downloaded albums cannot be edited, only the ones ripped by a UnitiServe can.
To edit files, use a \n editing software like Metadatics.
thanks adam for your response. But i have already succeeded to change the photos on downloaded albums ( qobuz) that are now on my unitserve. But i can't remember how i have done that. I remember the desktop client, and that all my albums appeared on my pc and i have changed the covers. I have found the photos covers on google and memorized them on my pc. On desktop client i have put them on certain albums. But now my albums don't appear, i don't know why. I am waiting naim support, i asked them. But it is possible, i have managed it in the past.... thanks again
You can add or replace an album cover - which must be called folder.jpg - in a downloaded file without using Metadatics. Just mount the Downloads volume and drag the folder.jpg into the relevant folder.
The OP specifically asked about the nServe app. Editing downloaded albums via the nServe app is not possible.
Working outside of the app - editing can be done in various ways.
yes inside the n serve app it is not possible. but with pc, using desktop client, it is possible. but i forgot the steps to do it...
on a PC you can use mp3tag (free s/w) but also the metadata utility of dBpoweramp if you have it (ID-Tag) or foobar (also free s/w)
the problem is that i can't see my unitserve 's rips and downloads on my pc , when i open desktop client. The unitserve, called nsrr941 is choosed but i can't see the files or albums. ?
Are the folders properly set up as STORE and SHARE respectively?
Have you activated them and do they have 'guest access with all read /write' priveladges enabled on the folders?
