Why would you think of using an RCA Phono?

Naim usually recommend BNC connections where ever possible.

I use a DC! BNC/BNC for my CDX2.2 and a BNC/BNC 75ohm coax cable for Mac into nDAC

I'd be intrigued if you think the DAC V1 builds on the high quality NDX DAC... sure presentationally they will be different.. but other than that I look forward to your comments...

Yes use the BNC output on the NDX, remember to disable the NDX DAC stage in the settings (analogue out -> disabled) , and activate the digital SPDIF out and ensure in 'native' mode for optimum performance.

Simon, OP has an NDAC with an XPS2, not a DAC V1.

Indeed BNC to BNC it always is. The Naim BNC connector is said to give a perfect 75 Ohm interface and therefore a superior S/PDIF connection. Be aware that this cable is directional. The end with the "naim DC1" labelled sleeve is to be connected to the sources, the NDX in your case.

Understood. Are you updated v4.11.8 and upgraded DR? A must. I know NDX/nDAC/XPS2 is superb but just try an USB stick in the front..
