Nait5i-2 circuit issues

Posted by: Nerfal17 on 06 March 2017

Curious if anyone else has had the same issue with their Nait5i-2, I have already have this repaired once and it seems the same issue has occurred again a few yrs later.  While the ipod/iphone jack is working, no other inputs are working so I cannot play music via the CD player. Last time around the repair was select switch circuits.

Anyone else had these issues?

Thanks!
Brian

It's not an issue but rather by design.  IIRC the front 3.5mm input socket is auto-switched on when a jack is inserted - I have just double checked the manual which confirms this to be the case.  To play other inputs just unplug from the front input.

Thank you. The CD player still does not play even when the iPod cable is removed. I have also tried a reset using the remote and still no sound from the CD player.

Ah, OK, well if none of the other inputs work when the cable is removed then that indicates a possible problem.  Do though first make sure that auto input switching is off.

Are you using Phono inputs, and are they by any chance switched off?
