Mu-So Playing 24bit 192khz resolution WAV files

Posted by: analog414 on 06 March 2017

Its official! The Mu-So will support any USB mass storage device as long as it's formatted to FAT32 and the partion table is MBR (Master Boot Record).

Like FAT32, MBR is limited to a volume size of 2TB

I moved all my music off the 2TB My Passport WD and partitioned from GPT to MBR, then again formatted it to FAT32 and now my drive works in the Mu-So.

Excellent - but none of that sounds very analogue

How do you select what to play? Do you use folder view for browsing  ? Or, can you navigate and filter/search via e.g. Album title, Album Artist, Track?

Many thanks

I use the Naim app on my android. I navigate to the artist folder, open it and start my play at any track. I don't believe there is a search function for this HDD when plugged into the Mu-So.

Peter,

To use artist/album etc. search the Muso has to be connected to a UPnP server which can be on a computer, a NAS drive or a standalone server such as Naim's core or Unitiserve.

I take the easy road, have my music on a NASA and connect the Music through Ethernet...

Thank you Analog414, Sjabbey, And Bert

File folder browsing was what I was thinking, too.

I take my Mu-So to different places often with no internet. So I carry a plug in wart/router so I can access my 2TB HDD and play my hi res files.
