Audirvana volume control

Everyone,

i am using audirvana 3 plus with DAC V1

should I have volume control on the computer program itself? I've heard it disappears? Or not?

You should have an option to either have volume in software, volume on the device or both in preferences. I don't use the volume in Audirvana at all but it is still there

Some people are saying that using Audirvana's volume can impact the sound quality.

Yeh I've got

volume control type

DAC only ✅

DAC if available else software

software only

selected DAC only is this correct?

AND also direct mode doesn't work?!?

If ou have it set at DAC only you won't be able to control volume from within Audirvana, to do that you would need to select a software option. I don't use volume control for SQ reasons and because it doesn't work on DSD files anyway whcih is a pain

what do I need to do to get direct mods working?
