Hi folks. I have owned a Supernait 2 for a few months now and I love the sound and the way it partners with my speakers which are getting a bit long in the tooth like me.
I have a couple of small issues:-
1/ The remote control is a NARCOM 5 and it operates the volume and balance controls etc. It will not change the source component i.e. CD/tuner and so on. I note the keys on the remote are colour coded grey. Is there something else I need to press in order to change the source?
2/ I also have a Stageline phono input. The green LED on the front comes on sometimes and sometimes not. Should I return it under warranty? It works even if the LED is out.
I hope some of you clever people can help................Shep

Hi Shep,
Its been a long while since I used the remote.Try pressing the PRE button prior to the numeric key assigned to the input you require.
sorry, can't help with the stageline but it certainly doesn't sound right.

Yes, that's how you do it, as described in the manual. As to whether you should return the Stageline, that's up to you. If it was mine, I would. Why accept faulty goods?

As Scott says, press whichever soft key corresponds to the source you wish to control and then the remote should then control that source (ask long as it is Naim RC5 compatible). The numeric keys in PRE mode change the source selection on the pre-amp.

Yes, that did the trick. A mate advised me to press the "pre" key and then the source. It did not occur to me to follow that with a numeric key.
I suppose I will have to take back the Stageline. I just don't want to be without my vinyl.
Job done and thanks to Scooot, Richard Dane & HH.
