Re. 'Reconnecting'

Are we any clearer when the 'Reconnecting' issue since the latest app update will be resolved?
Cheers,

I suspect not? I can't help thinking that if the app didn't waste its resources telling you it was reconnecting, and showing you the dreaded wheel of death, even when there's no need for it because the delay was only ever going to last a second or two, it might help speed things up a bit!
Phone app has nothing to do with the unit "reconnecting". The unit network performance relies more so on its firmware. The app is just an interface.
I was under the impression that the issue in question was the ability of the iOS app to connect to the streamer?
I get 'Reconnecting' with my iPad, but have not seen it with my Android phone (infrequently used for Naim) I wonder is this because Android OS does have not such a message & uses just a blank pause, or is it in the app.
As per Mike above. Pity that the iOS version draws attention to something which could just as easily be ignored for 1-2 seconds, thereby not making a problem out of essentially nothing.
Naim web pages do something similar, with a grey screen and wheel of death that persists even though the page has loaded beneath it, causing a needless delay. Maybe the same guy who did that has been let loose on the app design?!

Absolutely. It seems pointless. Perhaps we should have a seletable greeting - 'putting more coal on the fire' or 'sorry the app's not fully to your liking but we've had to concentrate on getting the new platform working before the UK leaves Europe'.
Maybe a sufficiently topped up coin operated iPad is called for. Don't laugh.... it's going that way.
