Bypassing preamp on NAC272

I looked at the picture of the back of the 272 on the Naim site and noted Line Out is present.  I downloaded the manual and found on Page 4 that, indeed, Line Out is what you want.

In this mode what do you want to do with the 272 vs. an NDX or NDS?  If you already own a 252, I'd seriously think about an NDS.
