Napsc Votage Conversion

Posted by: mikeybaby on 21 March 2017

Hi all.

I know an 82 from the UK will work in North America with a standard hicap, but what about the napsc?.

Will I need to convert the voltage ?

As long as the Hicap and NAPSC are set for the mains voltage of the country they are to be used in then no problem (i think that is what you are asking ?)

Yes.

What's happening? You've had so much Naim, Mikey, can't you settle?

I am like the musician who has to have every guitar because they all sound unique. Lol!

But 82 after 52, why would you?

if the 82 is currently in the UK, Darran at Class A can do the voltage conversion for you and service the preamp, to boot.

What about value?

Hi. I had my local Naim dealer in Glasgow (Loud & Clear) convert my NAC 172XS and NAP 200 from 240 to 110. They also changed over the fuse on my Lingo 1 and dismantled my LP12 for shipment. I think the overall cost was around £200 for all of it.
