As per the title. All i can see is a network media player and Naim want me to send them files from it. I need to see it as a computer on Windows 10 .

Does the Core show up as a storage device on your network? If so, can you map it as a network drive to then be able to search its contents?

No its just a media device...

Get the name  of your Core which is what it's called as a media device. On Windows 10, type Windows-R (I.e. Hold the Windows key and hit R). That should open a Run window. In that type \\[device name], so if the device name is NSCorABCD, type \\NSCorABCD. That should open a window connecting you to the Core, then you can navigate as usual to the folders.

Ok, can you find its network address e.g. 192.168.1.XXX. If so you could try mapping that via the This PC explorer window by entering the Core's IP address as a server I.e. \\192.168.1.XXX\folder name.

This is similar to advice above but using IP address rather than the network device name.

With my Windows 7 professional Thinkpad, I eventually cracked it by mapping the Core drive, which is what I had to do when I first got the Unitiserve too.  Funnily my old PC with Vista on it always sees these drives immediately with no faffing about with \\ or drive mapping or anything.

Why do you want to access the internal store of core like this?

Similar to what EOINK says but you can do it from Windows Explorer.

1. Right click on "My PC" on the list of items that show up on the left.

2. Choose "map network drive"

3. In the screen that appears, first choose a drive letter (E, F and so on). then below that type in "\\[name you gave your core]\music". This will map the Core music folder to the notebook you are adding. You might get another window asking you for user name and password. Just use "admin" and "password". From there, a another windows explorer window will open and you can then just select what you want to copy it out.

Because i am having endless problems with missing track and album titles and Naim have asked me to send them some of those files.
