Olive 135 naim logo not lighting but amp works

from previous post my Flash malfunctioned last night sending very high volume setting and music from 01 went super loud for couple seconds before I could shut it down. This am everything worked fine. Now I get home and the logo on one of my 135s is completely dark- yet the amp works. Can anyone make sense of this? Could the sudden loud volume have damaged my 135? Why would the logo not light up but the amp sounds fine. What to do?? David

Found out 500 is 11 yrs old - I'm not prepared to spend to go this route

from reading the forum non dr 300 will not likely blow away fully serviced 135s

pondering but most likely send out the 135s for full service. Thanks for advice

Hi Dave, I have the very same system as you, although my 135's are end of the ru 88 cb's in olive clothing. All my boxes have been Naim serviced so sound amazing as you know. If it was me

A) get the 135's serviced and be happy for years and years to come.

B) forget about 300 and go straight to for jugular and get a 500! Really amazing amp. I would get a none DR one myself. Synergy would be beautiful with the olive boxes. My train of thought is DR works best with DR it's great but doesn't seem to light up none DR boxes up imo. But that's me. I'm a olive nut

I can't see a 300 being an option imo. A sideways step from the 135's, 500 a large step up, bloody amazing amp mate. Get one if you can,WoW it's really good!!!!!

just read your last post. Servicing the 135's will be amazing you wait and see but will take a little to run in.

like I said a good working order 500 will knock you for a home run (or a 6 down under)
