252 back from service

Posted by: Acred on 30 March 2017

Upgraded my newer 282 to an 11 year old 252 about 2 months ago. I decided to get the 252 serviced. 27 new capacitors fitted according to the invoice. Just plugged it back in so everything is cold. I normally leave everything on 24/7 so the power amp and power supplies have been off for nearly three weeks. It's sounding great so there should be more to look forward to once the all the boxes get warmed up and the new components in the 252 settle down.

Happy bunny today.

If all has been off since , I 'd enquire those who bought the tellurium enhancement CD or files.

I'm afraid I can't vouch for it.

[@mention:1566878604000668] good to hear. Is your SuperCap in fine fettle as well? .. if not plenty of potential added goodness there as well

Thanks for reminding me and aren't smart phone cameras great for getting in behind the boxes to take a snap of the serial number. The good news is that the Supercap is around 7 years old, doesn't time fly, so a good few years left.

Thoroghly enjoying the 252.

Thanks,

Yes, I would be interested too as I have a 252 of a similar age and am considering a service.

And what is the price for servicing a 252. I think my 252 is close to 15 years old, I should check the serial number at some time.
