Naim QB tweaking tip/s....

Another tip, those owning the QB,is to use some spikes on the underside plinth. Tried some today and must admit made a big difference. The bass became tighter with the benefit of a more open mid/treble. The spikes I used had flat washers meaning they were very stable, the spikes were fitted with their tips  directly resting into the base of the QB. Might be an idea that Naim have a look at this, perhaps have a revised base with the facility to use screw in spikes. I find the QB sounds best on either a firm glass table, or using said spikes when on a wooden table. I always remove the cover when listening as it is not fully acoustically transparent. I also wish that Naim would allow the user to independently adjust bass and treble, maybe a firmware update could allow this ?.

Tone controls have been requested before, but after several firmware updates, app updates etc, it has never happened, and to be honest, once the product has hit the market and all the bugs have been sorted at the consumers expense, very little has been forthcoming.

At the end pf the day, the Muso & Qb are consumer products, and priced accordingly, and there is also the debacle with the Uniti products that Naim are having to deal with, so i doubt they have much time for anything else until thats sorted.
