CD player error message

Hi al.

ok just tried to use my naim CD player and when I go to spin a disc I get the message err displayed.

i have tried other CDs but all give the same message.

Anyone on here have any ideas ever please.

First thing to try is tweaking the puck or try a new one - both my Naim CD players needed this kind if attention far too often.

Try this: turn it off with the switch on the back, wait a minute, turn it on.

Which player are we talking about? If it's a CD5 as listed in your profile then first check the clamp/puck. The rubber grips can get a bit flattened. Carefully revolve them so they stand up better. Then re-try playing a CD.

Fingers crossed, if it IS a CD5, it doesnt need a new mech.
