Just Fink abbout it

I was lucky enough to attend Fink the other night at the Camden Jazz Café and have to say it was excellent. Best sound I have heard at a concert, with a simple set up drum, double bass and 2 guitars.
But on returning home and playing my system, I am truly astonished how good and accurate to a live event my active s800 Naim system sounded. All these years and I am finally hearing a live event in my living room. I believe only Naim can do this.
One would hope that a £100,000 stereo could do that.
I'm very jealous [@mention:1566878603916814]. I couldn't get tickets. I saw them live in Bristol a couple of years ago and I agree, they are brilliant. I use a few of their studio album tracks to test a system. Their 'Wheels turn beneath my feet' is great for that live sound.
They are a superb band live.
And they have a sound that will test how good your system really is.
The Hardbeliver album track 2, is one track that will do exactly that.
The point here is you've made the full on commitment to your Hi-Fi and are rewarded as such.
to have active S800's I would assume a front end somewhere towards the top of ladder and the same with the amps
ive never had the the luxury of hearing the S800's but I have seen a lot of differing opinions regarding DBLs or S800's
so as someone with active DBLs I do get that "live" bit the effortless way to fill the room, the realism of the sound, and most of all drums to actually sound like drums, the DBLs are the only speakers that have ever done that for me. And I've heard a lot

"The band, by their own admission, are more successful and well known in countries outside the UK, namely the Netherlands, Germany and the US."
Is that the Fink @ Ninja tune label ?
still... probably finilise the master cut through one of those £30 compressor pedal jobs. Unfortunately.
Great sound I'm waiting for a vinyl copy of the Sunday Night Blues Club album to land at my doorstep.
I designed (architectural / acoustic design) the Ninjatune studio in the Clink street warehouse offices of Ahead of our time limited circa 1994. Clever cookies Matt and John.
Holmes,
Sunday Night Blues Club Album is very very good, the first track is another system tester.
I am looking for a vinyl copy, maybe you could let me know who you have ordered yours from?
I can highly recommend buying direct from Ninja tunes. It will come packaged to within an inch of its life!

I buy virtually all my vinyl through bandcamp, which in this case, is direct from ninjatune, except you get a FLAC (or other relatively high res file format of your choice) file to download instantly.
Fink are one of the few modern bands who seem to have any control over the final mastered result of their recordings. The live album 'Wheels Turn Beneath my Feet' is particularly good.
