Streaming in Spain.

Are you in Spain with a NAIM streaming box?
I have three choices here in the Alpujarras. Apparently, I can:
1 Have a phone line in to a router for WiFi (difficult, I'm outside the town limit and the phone company doesn't like it).
2: Get an Orange (apparently) "plug-in" device to an electricity supply wall socket that mimics a router (anybody got one of these?), or
3: Accept a radio signal from the town mast (?).
Advice VERY much appreciated.
I have a MuSo in Southern France.
Do you have any idea of the speed of your potential Internet connections? The reason I ask is that 4 or 5 years ago my ADSL Internet connection speed was 2-4 mb/s, but now it is often as low as 25 kb/s and thus useless for streaming Tidal or Internet radio.
As to your questions:
1. I presume you are referring to an ADSL Internet connection, this doesn't usually depend on being inside the town limits, but does depend on how far you are from the nearest suitable telephone connection cabinet. In France at least, you can enter your exact address online and it will tell you whether ADSL is possible at your location or not.
2. The Orange plug-in device is a way to network your home, but not a way to get Internet into your home.
3. No idea about this, but I would guess that the latency in the system would be too high for Tidal to work.
The lack of adequate internet connectivity in many places is often forgotten by those designing these systems or promoting online music streaming as the be all and end all...
Is 4G mobile (cellphone) data available (and affordable) ? If so might that be a possibility?
Also, though I have no idea if available in Spain, a service that some people use in rural UK where there is poor internet capability by phone is a satellite service (I believe the one in UK is operated by Sky, though I have no other info). It also requires a phone connection, either ADSL or mobile data for communication/uploading, but far lower data than using that for the streaming.
I have a Unitiqute 2 right in the heart of the old town in Alicante, and until a couple of years ago the only option appeared to be MiFi shared access - very slow, very unreliable and very expensive. Then Movistar (Telefonica) stapled fibre optic cable along the street, and I now have a 10 Mb connection. Quite expensive for what it is though - roughly €45 per month for the basic service. I remember reading many complaints from expats further away from town than me about the difficulty of getting ADSL, and in a similar vein to the UK countryside, Telefonica was loathe to lay lines down for just a few residents. It seems that if enough of you and your neighbours complain then eventually something may be provided. I suspect that your only choices are going to be to pay for a very expensive line installation, or see if you can share in a MiFi setup. There's also satellite broadband, but that was not an option in my place given the size of the dish required. It may be worth pursuing depending on your location. The one proviso I would make though is that unless you are in or very near a major town, then there is no guarantee that after paying a lot for a line, you still only get a very slow connection, possibly insufficient to stream Tidal.
Sorrow to be so unhelpful, but Spain does seem to be about 10 years behind the UK when it comes to comms.

Worth finding out where your local exchange is (or whatever they call it in Spain?) If you have a phone line installed, line speed will be limited by this distance, so if you have to pay to have several kilometres if cable installed, you can be fairly sure the result will be disappointing.
Thanks for the responses guys.
I am actually outside the "town limits" here and no prospect of getting a line laid in.
I have gone for the radio connection to the local wifi signal with a dish to boost the signal. My mobile tells me that the result is "Very Strong" which looks hopeful.
When I get around to deboxing and setting up the system, I'll report back.
Hasta luego.
