UnitiServe : how to copy hi-res files to US?

Posted by: Giorgiott on 13 May 2017

Hi all,

I have a US that I use to rip my CDs and store them in te US local disk.

I have a few hi-res Album that I would like to copy on the US Disk, but how ?

Connecting as a to the US folder from my MAC as guest only gives me Read access to the US folders. And i never figured out what the admin logon on the US is...

Thanks

If you have an original US with a 1TB hard drive, you can't do it. The later one with a 2TB drive has a downloads folder. That is where you would put your albums. Just drag and drop in Windows Explorer.

There is no need to log into the Unitiserve from a computer, 'guest' access is all you need. Then, as HH says, just drag and drop or copy and paste to the Unitiserve downloads folder. Any metadata editing should be done on your computer as well, as the Unitiserve editing facility only works with CD rips.

Not true at all. On the 1TB drive you just need to make sure you are running the latest firmware and the Downloads folder will be there.

Another option, if all else fails would be to put the hi-res files on a USB stick and plug it into one of the slots on the Unitiserve, one at front plus 4 at the rear.
