App issues
Posted by: Scooot on 14 May 2017
Hi,
Is there a known problem with the iOS app at present ?.All seemed well yesterday but today when I load a album it only plays the first track. It also won't allow me to forward to the next track manually and the pause/stop option is not working.when I do select a album it shows that the correct amount of tracks have been added.
Its the same on 2 other iOS devices.I deleted and reinstalled the app with no luck.
Thanks
No problems here [@mention:1566878603996651]. Have you tried restarting the iOS devices?
I don't think this can be an app problem, but try clearing the UPnP cache. Also shut down and restart your NAS and streamer. If that doesn't work, a rescan of the drive on your NAS might do the trick.
Hi,
Now resolved.
Thanks Finkfan and Chrissu for the suggestions.
Turning off the Ndx and back on resolved the issue.
Thanks again.

I have found that every once in a while, as in every few months, a power cycle of my NDS and Qute2 are needed. A minor inconvenience but when the app is not talking to the player, that's usually it.
Has anyone else found that some of the tracks from their playlists keep disappearing?
Other tracks, in the same playlist, work fine, so it's not my NAS or MinimServer. Rebuilding playlist option doesn't fix this either. Any ideas?

I can't see the image you posted, but assuming you're talking about playlists created in the Naim app, this has been an issue since the app was released, and I'm not aware of any fix or way to restore them. I use my server for playlists instead, as this seems to be more robust, and they can be backed up and restored easily too.

yes that's what I was talking about. So this is not just me then? Wow, Naim need to get their act together. Seriously, this is just unacceptable.

On further investigation, I might be doing Naim an injustice here?? If you back up your iPhone/iPad to iTunes, the playlists are there, listed as .nmpl files. I had discounted this option as it disappeared from iTunes quite some time ago, but I can see it again now, so maybe restoring the app from this backup would now work again? Maybe you could give it a try?

I will thanks for the advice Chris.
