Naim HDX connection to Naim nDAC

Posted by: achroe on 18 May 2017

I have one HDX from 2008 and this unit don't have digital BNC output, but only RCA and Toslink. I have ordered one cable BNC - RCA. Is this ok or should cable be RCA - RCA? In this forum all talk about BNC -BNC connection, but there are some early HDX which don't have this BNC connector.

BNC - RCA will work fine ...

Interestingly enough the HDX currently pictured on the Naim website doesn't show a BNC out either?! Is this an old picture or has Naim reverted back (unlikely) to no BNC out?

I guess they are the original product images from the products launch.

Thanks for your reply. BNC - RCA is ok then.

Peering over the top of the rack, my 2012 model seems to have the BNC, I had to check as I go DIN straight to the 82.

I think so too Richard. Maybe it's time to update the website to be in line with the changes introduced in 2009? I mean since we are in 2017 now...
