Web Radio; BBC3 hidef trial. proms

I selected the BBC radio 3 proms on my NDX on the hidef trial this evening - Swan Lake. My istream says 57kbs AAC, but I don't believe, as the replay is incredible through my NDAC. Does anyone know what it really is? Or is the Nstream telling the truth?

How did you do this?

My HDX has stopped supporting Hi Def BBC R3. I asked support and they said sometimes it is taken down for upgrads. But it has not been working for a fullweek. Proms are starting!

What is the URL. I could do A ping test?

Has anyone else had a problem?

Has Ireland been blocked?

The URL I have in naim.vtuner.com is:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r3_aaclca.pls

I have not changed it for a while, but it is working now.

There is an uncerscore: /r3_aaclca.pls

This URL is a pointer to a set of dynamic URLs which keep changing. I am not sure that you could prove much with a ping. It takes my Qute about a minute to connect.

......but where is "here"?

I believe all IP addresses outside the UK have been blocked for several months and the only way to access the HD stream is by using a proxy server with a UK address.
