Can anyone advise if and how I might stream directly from Itunes on my IPAD 1 to my Naim Uniti.
Thanks

Add AirPort Express with optical digital interconnect (or Apple TV) and you are all set.

David, thanks for your prompt response, do you mean physically connect an AirPort Express to the Uniti?

I would just get an AppleTV2. It is not much more than an Airport Express, and it works very seemlessly with an iPad and an Uniti.
AppleTV optical out to your Uniti, use the iPad's Airplay feature and you are set.

My secondary system is a Uniti with the AppleTV2. Very happy with it. Small and color coordinated with the Naim gear. I have another AppleTV2 on my main system. Mine are jailbroken and can play ripped DVD movies (video_ts folders on a NAS) and live TV (HD Homerun tuner).
You need to connect a screen (HDMI) during setup of the device to setup wireless networking. After this you don't need a screen on it.

+1 AppleTV2, you can use regular Toslink fibre connectors and I believe the the audio performance is better than AirportExpress when played into the Naim DAC. I have used both the NDX and NDAC.
