Unitilite, CD drawer problem "door blocked"

Hi everyone,

I've bought a Unitilite last summer and I am very happy with the product.

However, since some weeks, when I try to open the CD drawer, I sometimes have an error "door blocked" ("porte bloquée" in reality as I'm French). Retrying sometimes solve the problem.

It happens maybe 20% of the time but seems to happen more and more often as time goes by.

I wonder if this problem is well known among the Naim community and if there are some tricks to avoid it.

I suggest you speak to your dealer and have it fixed under warranty. There is no reason to put up with something that doesn't work properly.

I don't know of this as a known issue, however it may be worth getting in touch with Naim's service dept. (info@naimaudio.com) as they may have come across it before and it may well be a simple fix.

Thanks all for your answers. I'll send an email to info@naimaudio.com. I've already contacted my reseller but he says that he needs to send the device back in England and that it will take 2 months to have it back. As the problem does not happen everytime, I fear that they do not see it at Naim and that I have to do it again later...
