Seems like a WannaCrap wor has infected the forum lately.
Hopefully Microsoft will release a patch soon.

ah - that's what the knob is for - to dial in the coffee strength?
OK, but which De Longhi machine are we talking about? I would rather go for a Pavoni, but that's just me.
I've got the Gaggia Classic vHugo myself.
May I put in an early bid for a two cup moka pot, Bialetti to be precise. It's a budget giantkiller that trounces any dac or server thingy yet made. And all with only one moving part. Genius.
Just like with Naim, the 2 cups pots are killer - while with the bigger once you run into all kinds of setup issues. ;-)
I'll "invest" in the DeLonghi as the machine more likely to produce stated output without bugs, need for patches, or an upgraded power cord. It should produce seamless cups of coffee directly out of the box, right?
where's the fun in that?
I run the Gaggia Classic. A semi-automatic - where it's even odds - whether I'll get a god shot - or whether it's be a watery mess.
The quality of the espresso shot depends on a variety of factors - my mood and patience levels included.
I'll treat you to it when you're over.
Challenge accepted. Tough to beat Charlie's cup of coffee .

I've heard that upgrading a power cord can help with producing a slightly more aromatic coffee and milk froth seems to be fuller
Fuller froth indeed, Adam.
Now you've hit on the Core of this thread.
Is this place just an irony free zone or is the classic double bluff being played on me?

Yep, we have no grounds for complaint, very few messages are filtered.

True. My posts never get filtered. But when I post, I always put forward a robusta argument.
The De Longhi machine needs to be recupped every time you need a service.
I blame Trump.
Don't forget source first; so it's all about bean quality and control of the roast. Spend money on your roaster! And then think about the grinder. The coffee machine is way way down the line in terms of importance.

Since I put the Powerlines on my roaster and my grinder, my espressos have an inky blackness that raises them to a new level.
Always store the beans frozen. Deep-cryo'd for best results.
Coffee porn.
