I can't understand what you're saying. You really need to work on your grammar.

The op spent > 20K on his sopra 3s?

thats coming from someone who can't pronouce 'about' and since your gear is not higher end Naim I guess no need for an answer out of you

My new system has 70k speakers feed from a 4K source.

Sopra 3s are not that "hi end"  , they can be considered avarage, in the world of high end

So dont worry, you got a good setup for mortals like us, similar to mine

but if the question is a comparison od

272/300 + utopias

vs

statement + sopra 3

statement + sopra 3 is far better option in my opinion

Strictly speaking the subject says $20,000k, i.e. 20 million. So, no, such speakers should be very rare.

I was not comparing my gear, just an observance of others systems fronted with 500 series and lower end speakers..

Sorry, i tought you were talking about your speakes as well...

Yes I have Verity Audio Sarastros and they are a good match for my electronics...

I also think a fairly common connotation is 'megalos malakas'....

Posted on: 03 June 2017 by Massimo Bertola

megalos I knew, malakas I had to Google. Ah, classical studies, they never teach you the right words.

Posted on: 03 June 2017 by Adam Zielinski

Indeed - hardly classical Greek. Benefits of growing up and playing in a band with Greek friends

lol yes it has different term meanings and my screen name doesn't mean I was referring to myself or I could be referring to other's.......for the topic like I said I've observe a lot of guys dishing out $70k-$100kusd on Naim gear but was curious about how many of those actually dished out on loudspeakers

I know also one half dutch/half Greek Guy, time ago he explained to me the meaning of "malaka"

Naimites usually live huddled in little rooms with a fireplace as centre of attention, sometimes with the fireplace in the middle of the room..

having an expensive speaker usually means having a " big " one that just doesn't fit in our usual dimensions of habitat. Of course you can spend big ones on little ones, but Naimites are usually more sensible

It must be a plastic tree too.

I guess it just means that each country is capable of the best and the worst , or that France should not be indicted for focal speaker creature.

What do you class as cheap average speakers Malaka?

My speakers destroy anything at 20k, and I won't hear any more on the matter....
