Best concert

Rory Gallagher - Ulster Hall Belfast 1972. No one else was playing in Belfast at the time because of the "troubles". Rory Gallagher made regular visits and his new year concerts were legendary. I had no real interest in Rory and really only went because my friends Robert and George had a spare ticket. Never been to a concert previously and didn't know what to expect.

As I write this now some 40 + years later I can still sense the atmosphere,feel the electricity and excitment and the almost holistic experiece of witnessing a master at work. I was completely blown away.I have been to many concerts since including many big name acts.

However Rory Gallagher in Belfast on a cold January night in 1972 rests deep in my soul!!
