hi,
I'm looking for new loudspeakers to be used with my Supernait 2. I want to do the big jump to high level loudspeakers.
I listened to Canton Reference 3K connected to a Supernait 2 and they sounded great.
Punching basses, clear voices, great twitter and midrange.
I also have a good opportunity to buy Sonus Faber Elipsa Red Violin at the same price of the Canton Referrnce. But I didn't have the chance to listen to them.
what do you think about both of the two? Any other suggestions.
I like rock, soul, R&B and punching basses (I played bass guitar)
ANy suggestion?

I was simply saying that the OP had asked for general suggestions, in response to your post. I don't see that this requires you to slag me off. But if it makes you happy then that's fine. Better to sound like a country school teacher than many other alternatives.

Can I be a right wing extremist...
Can I...
Can I...
Please?
Damn my BNP* level is only 18, not nearly high enough!

Thanks CD and HH. You have different opinion. thats fine.
I'm receiving good confirmation from people that heard Canton.
CD I agree with your evaluation on Canton. Maybe I will try to listen to the Elipsa Red to have my own opinion,
but I'm more comfortable in case I will proceed with Canton.
HH I asked some alternative of the same level of Canton and SF Elipsa, even though I understand your point of view

My speakers, if still made today, would cost about £8,000, the price of the Canton 3k. I paid £2,100 for them two years ago. So my suggestion to you is to get some good condition £8,000 speakers used, and with the large saving get yourself a decent record player. I'm hoping this counts as an appropriate suggestion.
