ffmpeg static binary for Armv7

I have a Melco N1ZH and have installed MinimServer together with the MinimStreamer package as I wish to use the FFmpeg stream converter.

Previously having used a QNAP TS-212P for transcoding duties I was hoping to use the N1ZH in the same way.

Has anyone got any listening experience that might suggest if it's even worth worrying about transcoding with the Melco?

In the meantime does anyone have a copy of the ffmpeg static binary for Armv7 as I am having difficulty locating the required file?

I am not in a position where I can build the binary as I don't not have access to the required platform

you could store a transcoded version of a file and the original file on the UPnP server to compare them yourself. It might not be exact the same thing, but I think it will show the right way. If you do not hear a difference you do not need to transcode on the fly.

Good idea Gert. Certainly made a difference before, nothing today it will this time though.
