Flatcap 2x question

Total newb question, I was passed down a nait 5i and a flatcap2x. I have a preamp connected to the 5i, and I know the flatcap doesn't power the 5i. But can I power my turntable using the 2x if I had the din to rca connector directly, or do I need a nac 82 or the like connected to the 2x?

FC2x won't power a turntable. If your turntable has a Stageline phonostage (or Prefix or SuperLine) then your FC2x could power that.
