4 to 5 pin connector. hicap to preamp input

are there more than one kind of these? namely a snaic and and interconnect?

i just want to replace a non-naim 4 to 5 that is currently tied to a hicap powering a stageline to the input of a supernait with a proper naim one.

my dealer says he has a 4 to 5 but it is a grey interconnect style and not a black snaic.

also i can't find a diagram on the proper installation of a stageline to a hicap, cable direction and especially the correct hicap output to use.

The 4-5 interconnect is not a SNAIC so it will be grey/levender grey in colour.

p.s. There is a very rare 5-4 SNAIC which enables a dual rail power supply like a Hicap to be used on an early single rail pre-amp.

Oh, you can use any of the three DIN4 signal OUTs but best use the one next to the DIN5 to keep signal paths as short as possible.

thanks, so the grey interconnect IS the one I need to get signal from the hicap to the super.

If it's a genuine Naim 4-5 Interconnect then, yes, it's the one you need.

ok, thanks. it's ordered and on its way.
