Power line Lite, any views ?

I have a Uniqute 2, Nap100 and a nap200 I am experimenting with using Sonus Faber Concertinos in a study. I was wondering if these cables might be worth looking at ? I intend to use a small Olsen extension (hard wired) and plug both into one extension, rather than one form the wall and one from an extension.
The mains plug is excellent quality. A very neat design with the floating pins and decoupled clamp. I bought one just to use the mains plug on my own mains setup and it was certainly a step up on previous Crabtree and MK plugs.
James, thanks
What were the main differences ?
IWC (lovely watches BTW) - I've never really bought into the fancy mains lead fad which is why i've always kept to simple hydra / star type arrangements and stuck with standard Naim power cables. A few years back i'd done an old Naim trick on a Crabtree plug (outside of forum AUP so won't go into it) and found it gave some good results (Just better bass texture and tightness) and so was interested in the new Powerline Lite plug. This did the same but in a much more elegant way and also added the decoupled clamp arrangement. The fit compared to a standard mains plug into the mains socket is different too as the plug pins float and locate better into the socket. Differences are icing on the cake differences, but again (for me) bass textures and overall boogie factor go up. Worth £95 and an hour of my time to do the plug swap.
Tks, you guessed my forum name. Looked at my watch at the time of choosing a name ! I think I'll give the lead a go and see how I get on. I did install a comprehensive separate mains install at my old house using a separate board and separate lines for each plug, with a fuse for each, so no ring main. I used over specced cabling and was very pleased with the results. Lower noise floor, much better bass and transients with more colour and resolution in a very natural unforced way.
I never really believed in all the fancy power lead stuff, indeed I still don't. But I happened to acquire a Powerline Lite and I am using it with the SuperUniti in my office. When I discovered to my surprise that I preferred the sound when using the Powerline lite over the standard Naim power lead, I got my wife to listen as I played some music and swapped backwards and forwards between the two. Without knowing what I was doing or why I might be asking, she also confirmed that the sound she preferred came when the Powerline lite was in use.
I found it gave a more lifelike presentation and better transients. I don't know why or how, but there we are anyway.
Best
David
Tks, I always burden my fiance with A-B blind tests too !
I've got two Powerline Lites. One is on the Qb. I chopped off the IEC plug and replaced it with a Furutech fig. 8 one, and it's very nice. The other is on my Cisco switch. I can't say I can detect a clear difference, though the offset dither flange recalibration could be a smidge better.
I have two on each of my PSU's powering NDX & SuperNait. They replaced my own cables made with Supra LoRad, good quality Martin Kaiser IEC & MK Toughplug 13a, I did not detect an obvious change in SQ, maybe changing an already pretty good cable with the P.Lite's, maybe I should have tested them against a standard cable in the mix. However I am impressed with the engineering in the Naim 13a plug, floating pins, wire clamps etc. Also noted the IEC plug is a cut above the average. Both IEC & 13a plug ends insert positively & have a good 'feel' in doing so.

I believe the Olsen power blocks have some sort of mains filters in them: many people have reported that their Naim gear does not perform well with such devices, so I would suggest that you try to listen to your system with and without one before committing, compared to a cheaper unfiltered block.
When I used the Olsen power blocks, I ordered them with no light and re hardwired. I don't recall taking any filters out, but there isn't any in now. A good point though, I have moved things around to keep the important bits direct to the mains. I have just moved over and played the same track again, didn't notice any improvement, but its not worse !
Are there non UK versions?
Interesting looks like they do sell some for the audio market know and they do have filters in ! https://olsondirect.co.uk/brow...;plug_inlet_type=146
They do sell other versions as well. I liked the original as they were all metal and easy to rewire and at the time you could order with or without light and black, grey or white
The Powerline Lite uses a less costly version of the Powerline UK mains plug, so no other (non UK) versions are available.
Sounds like yours are unfiltered and nothing to be concerned about?! The only Olson blocks I've seen are the Sound Fantastic ones which are surge protected and have RF filters.
