XPS DR vs XP5 SX

When I first demo'd my 272,250 dr,it was with the xp5 xs,simply because my dealer had one sitting there in his store.I took the three units home,first I tried the bare 272 with the 250 dr for a day or so...sounded good from the start.Then I added the xp5 xs,and honestly,I did not notice anything better at all,perhaps a tiny improvement,but nothing noticeable.I now have the XPS dr,which is definitely an improvement.I would not bother with the xp5,save for the Xps,or 555. The xp5 xs does not have DR technology in it,so I think that really affects the outcome of what I was hearing.

With a 272 the PSUs to go for are either the XPSDR or the 555PSDR.

It really does benefit from the Discrete Regulators (which the XP5 XS doesn't have, and nor can it be upgraded to have them).
