It must be me.

Good morning,

I'm new to the forum after purchasing some used and ex-dem Naim equipment.

I'd like to put my system details on my profile but seem to be a bit dim on how to do this.

I've gone to the 'update your profile' section in my profile but there isn't a 'system detail' section as there seems to be in other people's profile.

I have searched, but can't find any info which leads me to think it's so damn obvious I'm the only one who can't do it.

Can some kind soul point me in the right direction?

thank you

simon

When I go to my profile page and click on Edit Profile on the right, system details appears near the bottom of the list immediately above Your Signature, it's not in bold but it's there - have another look.

Good grief! Easy when you know.

Thank you PEV and sorry (to the whole forum) for the first of many naive questions soon to be posted.

Thank you Huge.

Noticed a NAS in your system. That's gunna be the subject of my first set if naive questions.

I don't see anything in your system that would use a NAS!

The forum search facility often works badly or not at all, in my experience. A little persistence often pays off, along with some trial and error around the subject you're searching.

HH,

you're right, but is it absolutely necessary to point out each time that there is a search facility? Perhaps there are some people who like to have things told (explained, clarified) by other people... This is a forum, not the online Encyclopedia Britannica....

With due respect,

CD

Indeed, though a little research beforehand can facilitate a more focussed question, and hopefully elicit more useful responses. For example, there have been recent threads about choosing a nas, which can be found in a few minutes and will probably take the OP  90% of the way to a solution.

be careful what data you reveal in your profile, ie do not put information that could lead to a reader knowing how to find your kit and remove it.
