Uniti: Power-Line Lite only for UK???

Looking forward to receiving my Uniti Atom in the – hopefully - not too distant future. I am, however, a bit puzzled. Why do Naim customers outside of the UK not get the opportunity to benefit from the new Power-Line Lite cable? It says on the web site that it´s for UK denominations only. Would it be terribly difficult to make a version for mainland Europe (and the power outlets there)? I would really like to benefit from the superior sound quality it offers and can´t quite understand why all Naim customers don´t get the same product when buying a Uniti Atom for instance.

The cable is the same as the old spec standard naim cable but the plug has changed to a Lite version and this is a UK 13 amp plug. I'm pretty sure the full fat Powerline plug is UK only too.

Unlike the standard Powerline (with its decoupled mains plug, better cable and decoupled IEC plug), the Lite version is just a standard Naim mains IEC cable fitted with a low cost version of the Powerline mains plug. Standard powerlines could be fitted with other types of mains connectors for non UK markets and still benefit from the better cable and decoupled IEC connector.

You are assuming the PL-Lite cable & its moulded IEC plug is not used with the European (Schuko) plug.   I would not be so sure about that, & it might well be that the same cable is used.      My PL-Lite cable has the makers name of I-Sheng ,  check & post whats printed on your cable & I'm happy to pull my UK cable out to compare all the details.

I have a Standard lead and PL-Lite in front of me the moulded IEC connectors and cable look the same however I would say that the cable on the PL-Lite seems little more flexible the plug on the PL-Lite is a lower cost version of the Power Line.

Yes, the cable and IEC plug on the PL Lite are the same ones used on the standard mains cable it replaced. Only the actual mains plug is different..
