Here's a flaw that Naim needs to address with a firmware. Making tracks equal in volume when one makes a compilation.

Surely that's an easy firmware?

The player can't do that. However dBPoweramp can (but at a cost of some sound quality).

To equalise the volume of different tracks you need to analyse the frequency / volume relationships throughout the whole track than apply a perceptive filter algorithm to obtain a track gain value, then apply this to the data. The player can't know and analyse the data for the whole track before it starts playing it.
