Naim Audio Headphones

When are they going to make some?  I really want some decent portable ones for music on the go, but cannot bring myself to buy any of the current offerings.  Ok there are good brands like sennheiser available, but I am surprised this is a product line that Naim haven't ventured into as yet?

Well going back to your original question Lewis you mention you're looking for 'phones for music on the go but don't mention source or budget ?

Hi James,

It would be via my iPhone to begin with, budget, well lets see what suggestions you guys have!

If 'on the go' means travelling around (as opposed to 'on the job?!), then closed back is a must, unless that is controlling mechanised transport in a public place, or walking or running on a highway etc, when you need your hearing for safety reasons. For travelling, size can be a deciding factor. And budget can be from a few tens of £ to a few thousands. How about Focal Spirit, midrange of logarithmic  price range at about £250? Or their Listen at about £180? (I know nothing other than that they are closed back and made by Naim's partner.)

of course, you'd get better sound adding a Mojo between iphone and headphones, or better still use Mojo with Poly, removing the iphone from the equation.

Hi Lewis - Well i'd recommend my personal favourite, the Shure SE846 IEMs. They really need a dedicated player to get the best from them but they still sounded fine when i tried them with my Iphone.

Same here, I'm still very happy with my 846s, although I think they'd be a bit wasted on an iPhone.
