As requested by Steve (Paper Plane) on the 16/17 thread, here's a new one for 2017/18. All leagues/divisions welcome.

Come on you Irons!

Another rout, with Citeh, the Arse and the Chavs up next. We'll be bottom by Xmas...

I'm afraid WHU were poor tonight, Kevin. I don't know what happened to my lot who seemed to have remembered that it's a team game. Slightly lucky penalty for the first goal, poor defending by your lot for the second and fourth. A bit of the old Rooney magic in between.

Good luck for the rest of the season - we're still both going to need it. I'm not looking forward to Big 'Eads tenure as manager........

Vlad, Hart was lucky not to be sent off IMO. He was definitely at fault for the third goal. He is useless. Another quality bit of recruitment by the Dildos. He must be dropped for Sunday otherwise Cteh will get ino double figures.

We are going down, and to be quite honest, I don't care.

Citeh are 500-1 to beat us by 10-nil or more on Sunday... I've just put a cheeky tenner on it.

Great game at the Emirates it took us a while but then Mesut Ozil was absolutely brilliant again.

Thanks for your bet of faith kev with your defense at the moment and what we did there last season could be a good punt. Can see some awful weeks ahead for Moyes in the future if he can't turn it around.

Really thought last night's game with Southampton was heading towards the draw but Stirlings 96 min wonder goal got us the points and still 8 points over the Rags.....Well happy this morning. The game with them next month is going to be massive if we beat them could open a 10 point gap but as Pep always maintains one game at a time.

Good to Arsenal doing well and we'll pleased for Everton up to 13 th pleased for Rooney.

Kevin - I feel your pain, and Hart won't be in the team to face City on Sunday but the reason is he's ruled out by the terms of his loan deal (from City).

Dunno about that Chris. As a “long time sufferer”, I have to say that the best fun we’ve had since the mid-80’s (when we had three England captains in the team; side question - can you name them?) was when we were in the third with Pards & Adkins. Big fish in small pond, 3-4 goals per game, Adam & Rickie scoring “for fun”, day out at Wemberley (all 45000 of us!), winning seasons and promotions.

What’s not to like?

Huge game for us today against Man U at the Emirates unfortunately I cannot go but I will be watching.  We should be going out and showing everyone that we are not soft in the middle that we are a championship winning side capable of maintaining form and beating the best. We should be going out as a team and convincing Sanchez and Ozil to stay at this club I believe they could both still sign new contracts if they can be convinced they can win titles with us and beating Man U would help.

I was at the match on Wednesday night and Mesut Ozil was devastating he destroyed a team in four minutes that it took Man City ninety to overcome don't be fooled Huddersfield are a very good side. The form both he and Sanchez are in I feel we can be beat Man U this afternoon it would be a massive win for us.

C'mon Arsenal!!!!

Probably the worst substitution I've ever seen bringing on Giroud for Kolasinac cost us the chance of getting back into the game taking off a wide player to bring on another Centre forward played into Utd's hands all they needed to do was crowd the box out it was a terrible decision and one that could prove more costly than just losing one match.

But a great game of football to watch bob, something that is lacking in the premier league, dont moan mate least your being entertained, come watch west ham for a couple of weeks and your know how lucky you are⚒

It was a great game of football that we handed to Man U with two unbelievably stupid defensive mistakes,  if it were not for that and David De Gea the score could have been 4 - 1 Arsenal.

Not a great game at Man City this afternoon. So much for the predictions of a thrashing for the Hammers. Ok, they lost, but a respectable performance which will give WHU some confidence to believe that they can turn their season around.

Mike, I watched it on telly and I thought it was a fantastic game. OK, so we lost, but it was a brilliant performance from the written-off Hammers: resolute, organised and full of heart.

Or should I say no Hart...

I thought Adrian played well and deserved to keep his place for next weekend.  After that gritty performance I would expect the home crowd will be fully behind the team when they play Chelsea next Saturday. Should be a good atmosphere.

Great  performance from West Ham.I think they will be fine if they play like they did today.Thought it was heading towards a draw but the belief City have in not easing off payed off again. Its going to massive next Sunday going to Old Trafford and if we can put those Rags to bed could open up a 11 point lead.Pogba is out so pleased about that

Thanks David Silva our Midfield magician....pleased you resigned to 2020....your class !

For mostly professional reasons, my memories from those times are not so glorious. No mattter. We March On  ;-)

And the best defence in the top five divisions is?

Really enjoying this season. You can keep your EPL non-contact ballet

For anyone considering coming to St Mary's on Sunday, don't come by train. There won't be any. A replacement bus service will be in operation.

Already I can see metaphors about parking the replacement bus in Monday's papers.

West Ham 1 Chelsea 0

Congratulations Kev.Must have put a massive smile on your face.So happy for West Ham.....just watched it on TV.Thought Nobel was brilliant and Antonio.Did you go ?

Moyes is doing a great job the belief seems to be back and out of the relation zone !

Hi Ian, yes I was there - very enjoyable afternoon, for once. Excellent performances from Nobes, Arnie and Arthur Masuaku. Moyes has certainly got the players fitter and more organised, so kudos to him for that. Chelsea had most of the possession and did nothing with it, and we defende so well they weren't able to seriously test Adrian (good to see him back starting, he is a real fan favourite, and a better goalie than the hapless Hart) all game.

Always a pleasure to beat the chavs! Up next - the Arse!

Posted on: 10 December 2017 by MDS

Terrific result, Kevin. Maybe the prospects for the rest of the season don't look so bleak after all.  And while Swansea had a good win, WBA look to be in free-fall and Stoke are conceding loads of goals. So there seem to be quite a few PL teams who should be worrying.

Posted on: 10 December 2017 by beginner

Yeah great to see us (West Ham)  turn over the plastics , whats disappointing is these players only seem to turn up for the big games, the real test will be stoke away not arsenal at home, fingers crossed lets hope santa brings us a mid table finish and maybe a league cup to boot????

An enjoyable Merseyside derby. Liverpool could and should have won it. Lovren? What a needless penalty to give away. Klopp needs to get some better central defenders.
