Hello, im looking to sign up to a family deal for streaming. Not sure which provider i'll go with yet. Question is - is there anyway i can stream spotify, amazon music etc to my Naim uniti v1 (hi fi corner advised its not upgradeable to Spotify for example). Any help would be appreciated. Ps. Currently have ripped all my music to PC and stream to the Uniti via UPNP input.
Thanks

Just had the new board put in mine (enjoying Tidal on my SU and wanted it on the second system) - the dealer put the new board in, think it was £320. I BELIEVE that some of the earliest Uniti 1's can't fit the new board but could be wrong.

As David says, your best option is to upgrade . The only thing you won't get is Bluetooth.
Give Darran of ClassA a ring. I'm pretty sure he'll be able to carry out the works.
Good luck.

Yes! I use an Airport Express connected to one of the optical inputs on the Uniti. This enables streaming of Spotify, Amazon Music etc from iPhone or iPad to the Uniti. Clearly there is a trade-off in data rate/quality, but it's a robust solution.

Using a Chromecast Audio to cast music (using an optical link, via the optical input, to the DAC in the Uniti) is a lot cheaper than an Airport Express and AirPlay.
It's also uses a lossless compression and can cast 24/192kHz which Airplay can't do.
