How do i delete Artist

I am ripping away but i want to delete the artist. I have deleted the album but for some reason i cant delete the artist. Any suggestions please?

This is for the UnitiServe Player.

I would try a rescan via the DTC or N-Serve for Mac.

It was encoding which i didn't realize so i couldn't do a delete. Once it had finished i was able to delete.
