Naim App iOS 5.7.2

I see this morning's release is said to fix a bug which caused the app to forget the last connected device.

I hope this is true but I'm away on holiday.

So - does it fix the 'finding room' issue?

Any other issues (fixed or created)?

For me the only issue (and it didn't bother me much) with the 5.7.1 was the app always defaulting back to the available rooms screen on launch. With 5.7.2 it's back to automatically connecting to the device it was connected to previously. Otherwise I see no new bugs but I have never had any issues before anyway. Seems like a good release to me.

Yes indeed, in my case works fine.

I tried the update yesterday, during my short test it seemed to work OK.

I played music from my upnp NAS and internet radio.

Yes, it is the first release of the app to support the new Atom.

Its much better than 5.7 and 5.7.1, but STILL not as good as 5.6!

For me, it momentarily goes to the finding rooms first and then goes to the correct area. I'm sure this can be improved.

Just make it stay at the last location it was when you return to the app!

Sort it out Naim!!!!!

5.7.3 has been released this morning.  In the App Store notes it says - Fixed a bug that caused the app to forget the last connected device.  

It still momentarily goes to 'Finding Rooms' (not every time)   I'm led to believe Naim are looking at that.

Strange how different users report different experiences. Like one other poster the only issue I experienced with 5.7 was the reversion to the finding rooms screen, which I actually found quite useful as I often started up in a different room!

Still, all good now. 5.7.2 works faultlessly for me.

The artist and track info is now a decent, readable size although I'm not exactly sure when this was changed.  It used to be murder trying to read text that was 2mm tall.

Unfortunately updated app doesn't work with 272 when earlier release worked perfectly. Any way to go back to the earlier release?

Well i did not have any problems with the Naim app. But last few weeks its been only problems. Naim fix it .

Back from hols - straight to 5.7.3!

So now I when firing up the App I get the finding rooms screen, then a spinning dial by NDX, then into NDX. Fairly quick but not as it was.

Meh.

This was reported already by the Beta-team. Generally finding rooms and returning to the last one / last input should be stable now.

Nick - we've raised that issue with Naim on the Beta thread (e.g. Finding Rooms as not needed at a startup).

Is there any news on the app front because i got a mail from Naim that they would get back but its 6 days ago and i did not hear back.

Understand that the are busy but please keep us informed. Can not use app on this moment. So is there any news??

Its a good question CP62 but what problems are you having with it ???  & do you have the latest rev 5.7.3.   I ask because its working OK for me & IMO it's the best there has been for a while.

I've had a look under your registered email address and I don't seem to have any communications from you ... if you are having issues with the app then have you contacted us directly at support@naimaudio.com? Did you contact us under a different email address to that you are registered on here under? Did you contact me or someone else?

I believe the updates typically roll out over a period of time from Apples Appstore - if you do an Appstore "Check for Updates" then if yours han't een updated it should show teh update...
