Hello,
I might have an interesting option on PMC twenty 23 speakers.
I've read most topics about these speakers, but still curious for more info.
Compared to my current GB1i the 23 should be more open, more detail(hope not too much sharpness), more bass control(less boomy), bigger and wider sound stage, better mids.
I'm doubting though if the difference will be enough for the investment.
Also if I would like the sound character of the 23(more natural, less forgiving maybe), but this is probably very personal.
Keep doubting should I do it or not :-)
My current setup: MacMini / Audirvana / Vertere Pulse D-Fi / Metrum-Acoustics Musette / 222connect-litz / HiCap DR / Nait XS2 / Tellurium Q Black / PMC Gb1i

The 23 is better than the GB1i, and I thought the change was worthwhile. I was using a SuperUniti with both speakers. The 23 does need power to get them going, and when I tried them with a 272/250DR you could really hear the benefit of a powerful amplifier.
It sounds as though you have doubts and perhaps want to be convinced. All I'll say is that if you can't try them don't buy them. But if you can try them you can decide for yourself whether the improvement is worth the money.

Thanks for your response.
Yes looking for some more positive input which might make the chance of regret smaller
Was expecting they benefit from a better amp, which is good for the future, but do hope my current setup will make them sound better enough already.
Also because they are deeper they will probably be closer to the wall and hope they are a bit easier with that than the GB1i(already good in this aspect). I read somewhere that the 23 should be easier with keeping the bass under control in a difficult room than the GB1i. If I keep the same position with the 23(but guess a lot of moving will happen) then they will be 20cm/8inch from the rear wall.
And I play a variety of music genres which the GB1i seems mostly ok with and I hope the 23 will also.
