Can we have a Nova progress thread please?

Posted by: Pev on 03 August 2017

Now that the Atom progress thread has disappeared instead of being updated.

I seem to recall the word "imminent" was mentioned in connection with the Nova?

Stop it! It will be here when it arrives

I'd quite like an update too if I'm honest.

Me too I have a demo for 3rd week in August booked?

Posted on: 04 August 2017 by Pev

This was posted by Naim on 21st July:

"The Production Department continues at maximum output, building and testing Uniti Nova ready for an imminent release, alongside Uniti Atom and Uniti Core to fulfil your order allocations."

I may have had a senior moment yesterday when I couldn't find the Uniti progress thread but I now see it,  albeit not updated in a week. I believe we should have this thread maintained as promised until both Nova and Star are released. People have made commitments and plans on the basis of  promises of much earlier release dates and its not unreasonable to want to be kept informed. Some of us have paid deposits or will need to sell kit to afford the new Unitis - it's not just idle curiosity.

From what I have been told the Nova is next to be released followed by the Star.

We know the release order and that Atom and Nova are in production. We would just like an update from Trevor et al on progress and release dates. Last update said imminent?

I agree, been a week since last update and I too would like to understand progress made in the weekend testing.  I keep looking at the Naim product website to see if the Naim Nova product page has been updated with the interactive support manual but seen nothing yet.  The Naim Atom page was updated a day before the actual release announcement so assuming we will see a similar move as an indication its very close.    Come on Naim and don't tell me to ask the dealer as I did this when I saw the words "imminent.  Dealer called and you could not tell him anything new.

Phil any news please??

Can we have a Core update thread too?

Posted on: 10 August 2017 by Klout10

Well, the Uniti Atom might be available ... today I got a phonecall from my dealer that the next batch of Uniti Atoms will only arrive in the Netherlands by the end of the month ... I'm getting soo tired of this ....

Why is everyone ignoring the Star?

Posted on: 17 August 2017 by Gazza

We know it's launched after Atom and Nova, hence no news likely until Nova is launched. Star is also more complex combining the attributes of the uniti core and atom/ Nova. And there are issues with core and atom for some forum members, core was launched in january.

Looking forward to our update (today) on progress of Nova, Star hopefully launching soon?

Posted on: 18 August 2017 by iliria

Considering that Star pretty much incorporates the Atom and the Core in one box and in view of the fact that quite a few issues with the smaller two counterparts have been addressed I would have thought (at least I hope) that the Star should not present many issues. It would be nice if the Star is releassed before Christmas.

Well the post from Trevor 2 weeks ago said Nova was imminent, though my dealer laughed at this and put my demo back to September at the earliest. I know what you are saying, but this whole launch has been beset by problems, who knows, hence we have requested the weekly updates.

Posted on: 21 August 2017 by Big John

Naim,  whats the latest on the Nova please??  As per Gazza's comments you said it was imminent subject to final testing/ certification about ten days ago with some heavy testing over a weekend.  Unfortunately all we got was a minor update on Core/ Atoms last week and no further Nova news.  Did all go to plan with your Nova certification??

Phil from Naim had originally told me via another thread that code to the Atom was similar and only real delay was that production was initially to be based on getting Atoms out first.

Please let us know more as think its almost 4 weeks since the Atom came out and psychologically to miss another month and get my unit in September when I placed my order in November last year means I have now reached double digits (10 months) on my wait

Thanks John

could be a soap opera if it keeps on,  guess ordering and paying  before seeing and listening is fraut with danger

Posted on: 21 August 2017 by Gazza

I have listened twice already, and have a demo booked, so eyes wide open for me.

Posted on: 21 August 2017 by Richard Dane

I've asked Naim if they could provide the forum with a Nova update whenever they are ready to do so.

Thanks a Richard, perfect

Hi, I received a call from my local dealer today, who himself had been phoned by Naim. Apparently Naim Nova passed its final certification. I also noticed an update to the Naim Nova web product page. It has been updated with a few new high resolution photos. Although no support manual like the Atom yet. All tangible signs we getting very close now for the Nova production release!!

Posted on: 22 August 2017 by Big John

Just found the new Nova manual!!  Go to the Naim Atom support page. When you change the supported device it's under the list now of supported products!  Now I am getting very excited....
