power amp for UQ2

Does anyone have any experience of the UQ2 with a NAP180 or similar?

The UQ2 currently drives a pair of ATC SCM11 (later version) and i'm conscious this is possibly a challenge for the relatively low output of the unit

Thanks

I think the answer to your question is SuperUniti...

One of many possible answers, for sure )

Now that the inevitable upgraditis has set in, the long term solution would be NDX/282/250DR but there I feel there is much enjoyment to be had in a program of upgrades leading to that in small steps, allowing for investment along the way as funds allow.......

I had a NAP180 back in my first Naim system, with NAC72, CD3.5 and Dynaudio speakers and still regret seeing it go, as they are available secondhand for a reasonable amount this seems a good way to achieve a step up in performance but knowing how much of one to expect for outlay would be good

UQ+100 and UQ+200  night and day ,first set-up does nothing ,second drives them more properly but not enough yet. 180 may be ok it was with Spendors  I recall but you'd need a  much better preamp for your plan. And a matching source so think about it.

I have UQ and also recent SCM11s. As you say, it can run out of steam. So I added a 250DR too, and that is excellent.

A friend of mine drives his uq2 with an x-power from Cyrus with great effect! He tested it against the nap 100 and preferred the cyrus better. I for one leaned towards the nap 100. Both are great choices and really look good with the uq, having the same shoe box dimensions.
