NAC-N 172XS discontinued

I'm very happy with mine and sad to see it discontinued. Interested to see that on the App it now displays Uniti rather than NAC-N 172XS so am concerned about longevity. I haven't seen any other posts about the discontinuance and what the implications are for an owner.

Happy Naim owner for over 40 years!

I'm surprised that it's lost it's ID, but then, with some of the more recent releases of the app, this has happened to people with other types of streamer that are still available, so this may not be due to the discontinuation.

I'm pretty sure that it will continue to be supported in the app, even the older 96kHz streaming boards (e.g. the old Uniti and UQ before the Uniti2 and UQ2 came out) are still supported.  Naim generally goes to great lengths to ensure that it doesn't abandon it's customers.

Naim discontinued lots of older units earlier this year, I suspect just reflecting how few they had been asked to make in the last twelve months or so. But like Huge I think you don't need to worry about support from Naim for the foreseeable future. And I expect the logo will come back when they get round to that sorting that bug in the app out.

Uniti on the display is a known glitch which Naim have said they will fix in a future update. They are generally very good at supporting legacy products, so although new products will likely supersede your 172, I'm sure it will continue to work with the app.
